Day #4
Hi ! Yesteday I work on adding more settings and making every text in the game able to change languages without the need to restart the game, so the game has now three languages : English / Japanese / French, it's possible to change the language directly in the game settings menu.
Right now I'm working on the chase part, making sure the player can die and the AI can move freely in the Mansion while no dynamic obstacle like Door which the player can open/close so the AI will have to make sure that every door are open, or I can make a system to only allow him to open door while been chased but not being able to close. I will try both of them quickly before starting the full chase AI.
So, the main chase elements are done the Oni will chase you around the house and you can escape him for a while and he will stop chasing you or you can hide in a furniture, I would like to make a little animation but I'm a bit scared of the animation ruining something like the Oni killing you while in the animation or something like than and player seeing has "unfair" so It's just a "toggle" for now where you just interact with the Furniture and hide in them.
I made a short video to show how the game is in it's current build, a small bug at the toggle of the hiding but I put a failsafe in case the player don't get teleport back so it's not harmful but I still need to find where does this bug came from.
